'The Voice' Season 19 finale makes history as the winner is crowned

The winner of Season 19 of The Voice was officially crowned Tuesday night and, along the way, the season finale made history in more ways than one.

Team John Legend's John Holiday took fifth place, while Team Kelly Clarkson's DeSz took home fourth. Team Blake Shelton's Ian Flanigan and Jim Ranger took home third and second place respectively, which means Team Gwen Stefani's Carter Rubin is officially the winner of Season 19!

15-year-old Rubin is not only the winner of The Voice, he's also the youngest male to ever win the competition. Even better, after five seasons with the show, it was Stefani's first championship ever.

Stefani was thrilled over her win with Carter, she immediately took to Twitter from the live set. Meanwhile, her fiancé, Shelton, happily conceded, as he tweeted: "Congrats on the win @gwenstefani! I’ll let this one slide! @carterjrubin... if anyone beat #TeamBlake, I’m glad it’s you!!!!"

It was also an incredible night of music, which included performances by some A-listers like Nelly, Tyler from Florida Georgia Line, Lewis Capaldi, Jason Derulo, Dan + Shay, Julia Michaels, Keith Urban, and P!nk. The contestants' dreams also came true as they got to perform alongside their coaches, socially distanced of course.
