Volodymyr Zelenskyy to join G7 summit in Italy, says PM Meloni

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will take part in the G7 summit to be held on June 13-15 in Brindisi, southern Italy, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said, according to the ANSA agency.

The summit will be attended by at least 15 countries and international institutions, in addition to the G7 members and the Vatican.

Meloni did not specify whether Zelenskyy would be in Italy in person or join via video.

Politico reported on May 22 that Zelenskyy would travel to France in June and attend the G7 meeting in Italy. The Ukrainian President is expected to call on NATO to shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine.
