Wagstaffe's weather: More summer ahead for Vancouver

It looks like summer, it feels like summer, and it is summer. And it's here to stay in Vancouver for a few more days at least.

Wednesday morning will be bright and sunny with overnight lows getting down to only 17 C. That's a good five degrees above seasonal.

By the afternoon, Vancouver should hit 24 C by the water, while inland Metro Vancouver will likely get closer to 29 C.

There may be some fog for the Southern Gulf Islands through the morning hours and it will be a little gusty through the day from the northwest if you are by the water.

Expect another degree or two warmer for Thursday, with conditions staying hot and sunny for Friday.

And the weekend?

Temperatures will come back down to seasonal low 20s for Saturday and Sunday.

Some models have been sneaking a few showers into the forecast for Sunday night, but there hasn't been consistent agreement on that — so no hanging your hat just yet.

Long-range forecast remains summer-like through next week.
