Part of Donald Trump’s long list of day one executive orders is a pair of controversial name changes. Trump is set to rename the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America” and revert Alaska’s Mt. Denali back to its previous name of Mount McKinley, the New York Post reported. A preview of the orders said the immediate change is to honor “American greatness.”

First lady Melania Trump stood next to the president holding two Bibles, but the 47th president of the United States didn't place his hand on either as he raised his right hand to take the presidential oath, which Chief Justice John Roberts issued. Melania Trump was holding her husband's personal Bible, which was given to him by his mother, and the Lincoln Bible that President Abraham Lincoln used to take the oath of office in 1861.

Canadian dollar jumps as Canada avoids immediate U.S. tariffs
The Canadian dollar strengthened to a near 5-week high against its U.S. counterpart on Monday as the prospect of U.S. trade tariffs grew less imminent and a Bank of Canada survey showed that firms are beginning to anticipate improved activity.
