Warm winds could turn to thunderstorms in Winnipeg by Sunday afternoon

Short sleeves and sandals will work in Winnipeg on Sunday, but you might want to bring your umbrella, too — warm winds and sun could turn to rain and thunder by the afternoon.

According to Environment Canada, winds could gust up to 50 km/h on Sunday morning, and highs are expected to reach 18 C.

Early this afternoon, clouds are expected to form in the otherwise sunny sky, and a thunderstorm could roll in.

On Sunday night, skies are looking partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of rain or a thunderstorm and a low of 3 C.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to be sunny, but by Wednesday clouds will come back and showers are expected by Thursday.
