Watch: Granbury firefighters rescue toddler from burning apartment early Sunday
Firefighters in Granbury rescued a 2-year old child from an apartment fire early Sunday morning, according to a statement on the department’s Facebook page.
Hood County 911 dispatchers received a report of the incident at around 12:50 a.m. Sunday, officials said.
When firefighters arrived to the scene in the 300 block of Parkwood in Granbury, dispatchers informed crews that a child was trapped in a second-floor bedroom, officials said.
Firefighters laddered to the bedroom window and rescued the child, according to the statement.
Video of the rescue posted to the department’s Facebook page shows the moment the child was pulled out of the window.
The child was treated on the scene and then transported by helicopter to Fort Worth for further treatment, officials said.
