Watch live: JD Vance woos voters in battleground Michigan

Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) visited Michigan on Friday to give his final pitch to voters in the battleground state.

In his remarks, the GOP vice presidential hopeful was expected to tout the Trump campaign’s commitment to addressing rising prices, manufacturing shortfalls and the economy. He is also expected to target the Biden administration over electric vehicle mandates and inflation, per the campaign.

The campaign stop came as his Democratic rival, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is also campaigning throughout the state as early voting winds down.

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index shows former President Trump trailing Vice President Harris in the state by less than 1 point.

Vance’s remarks from Portage, Mich., were scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.
