Water service disrupted west of Highway 99 in Fresno. Two restaurants closed early

A water main line broke Tuesday morning in Fresno, forced the temporary closures of two restaurants.

The breakage was reported at 8:30 a.m at Olive and Hughes avenues west of Highway 99.

The breakage caused McDonald’s and Al’s Cafe to close early.

McDonald’s put a notice on the door telling customers about the situation.

“Sorry due to a water outage in the area, we will be close(d) for the day!!!”

City of Fresno workers responded to the scene, and water was expected to be restored by Tuesday evening.
