Waterloo Region’s COVID-19 overview for Saturday April 10

Waterloo Region — Currently there are 483 active cases, with 70 cases reported on April 9, none of which are identified as variants of concern.

The total number of cases for Waterloo Region is 12,555 with 11,812 resolved cases.

There are 15 active outbreaks, with three new outbreaks reported and two declared over on April 9.

In total 471 people have been hospitalized, and 136 people have been hospitalized in the ICU. 11,948 people have not been hospitalized at all.

New outbreaks were declared at a congregate setting, Waterloo Collegiate Institute, and a food and beverages services setting.

Outbreaks declared over were at the Village at University Gates long term care centre, and St. Mary’s General Hospital.
