The waterslide is amazing at this Kansas home for sale. But basement has ‘You’ vibes

On the outside, this quaint, historic property has a summertime fun appeal that will delight people of all ages. But on the inside? Well, that’s a different story — one that might appeal (or downright terrify) to fans of the Netflix hit series “You.”

The six-bedroom, five-bathroom house — which is listed in Wichita, Kansas, for $1.795 million — was the former home of Kansas Sen. Nancy Kassebaum’s family and rests in a serene area surrounded by nature, the listing on Zillow.com says.

While the 5,404-square-foot home seems to have surprises around every corner, the two major draws are a gigantic waterslide in the backyard, and a basement that walks a fine line between elegant and creepy.

Other features include:

  • Horse barn

  • Upgraded kitchen

  • Hot tub

  • Patio doors

  • Large pantry

  • Entertaining wing

  • Wine cellar

  • Sauna

Fans of the social media Facebook page Zillow Gone Wild were somewhat perplexed by the combination of the residence’s water theme park feel, and the basement that some say resembles a captor’s paradise.

“WHAT IN THE JOE GOLDBERG IS THAT IN THE BASEMENT?” one person asked, referring to the main character in “You.”

“Worth i….absolutely NOT,” another joked.

“I was ready to quit after the toilet therapy room, but the stable sold me,” someone remarked.

“What’s the basement room got going on? Is that a plexiglass wall in the middle? Is it for a wine cellar?” one person asked.

“Anybody watched ‘You’ on Netflix? This reminds me of the scenes under the bakery,” another commented on the photo of the basement.

I’ve already forgotten about the water slides,” someone said upon seeing the wine cellar.

“So many questions…” one person noted.
