Weather disasters costly for developing nations: UN report

Extreme weather is seen more frequently around the world — about four to five times more often and is causing seven times more damage than in the 1970s, the UN's weather report says. People in developing countries are being hit hardest and need resources to invest in disaster-resilient infrastructure, said Mami Mizutori, head of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction.
