Ezekiel Elliott spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career as a member of the Dallas Cowboys but joined the New England Patriots this offseason after being cut. How has Elliott played for the Patriots this season ahead of their matchup with the Cowboys?

Elliott has had a slow start to the season failing to rush for over 30 yards in either of his first two games against the Philadelphia Eagles or Miami Dolphins. Elliott had a combined 12 carries for 42 yards with a fumble in those two games.

However, Elliott rebounded rushing for 80 yards on 16 carries in the Patriots’ 15-10 victory against the New York Jets.

The Patriots’ offense will need Elliott to continue his upward trend if they want to have a chance at upsetting the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys are seven-point favorites according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Cowboys play the Patriots at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday at AT&T Stadium.
