West Quebec home destroyed in fire

Firefighters worked to control a blaze at a home in L'Ange Gardien on Wednesday night.

A bungalow in L'Ange Gardien, Que., was destroyed Wednesday night after a large fire spread rapidly through the home.

Firefighters in the Outaouais responded at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday to 64 chemin Osborne in L'Ange-Gardien, about 20 kilometres east of Gatineau.

Firefighters found the home engulfed in flames.

Nobody was home at the time of the blaze and there were no reported injuries.

Firefighters estimated the damage to the home at $200 thousand and said the home is a total write-off.

Fire officials are now investigating.
