The Whiskey War: Canada, Denmark agree to end Arctic territorial dispute over Hans Island
Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly, alongside her Danish counterpart Jeppe Kofod, signed a historic agreement Tuesday, ending a decades-long dispute over Hans Island, a tiny island in the Arctic. "I couldn't believe that we were actually able to settle this very important issue. And we wanted to give momentum, particularly in light of Feb. 24 with what happened with Russia's invasion of Ukraine," Joly said.
