As usual, no character details are shared but as Deadline reported in November, the multigenerational gang includes a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, including a country club wife, a misfit and a yogi. Glenn is believed to be playing a man referred to as Jim who may be slowing down physically but is still mentally sharp and a little cranky.
This marks Glenn’s return to HBO where he did The Leftovers, appearing in all three seasons, including as a series regular in Season 3. He also had major roles on Marvel’s Daredevil and The Defenders, originally on Netflix, and on Hulu’s Castle Rock. In features, he was most recently seen in apocalyptic thriller Greenland and sports drama The Hill. Glenn is repped by Innovative Artists and Viewpoint.
Created, written and directed by White, The White Lotus is executive produced by White, David Bernad and Mark Kamine. On the filming and promotion of the third installment, HBO has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
The first season of The White Lotus, which was set in Hawaii, received 20 Emmy nominations across 13 categories and won 10 trophies, the most of any program that year, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. The Sicily-set second installment, which premiered in December 2022, garnered 23 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, and five wins.
