Blake Lively pulled an old trick today: The actress deleted all but one Instagram from her profile. Gone were the birthday tributes to Ryan Reynolds and the outfit posts. All that remains is her trailer post for The Rhythm Section. Clearly, she's about to start promoting the film. This isn't the first time the actress has done this to signal to her fans she's about to promote a new project.
Last October, she also deleted all her Instagrams to start promoting A Simple Favor. It got headline attention then, and the move is doing the same thing now. Buzzfeed and E! are among the first outlets to cover the news today.
What's The Rhythm Section about? It's an adaptation of the Stephanie Patrick thriller books. The movie's official synopsis is: "Stephanie Patrick (Lively) is an ordinary woman on a path of self-destruction after her family is tragically killed in a plane crash. When Stephanie discovers that the crash was not an accident, she enters a dark, complex world to seek revenge on those responsible and find her own redemption."
Lively's decision to take down all her Instagrams for the project comes days after Ryan Reynolds shared a photo of him and Lively out on a date in New York City's TriBeCa. The two went to listen to music and posed with the band after.
"Beautiful night with the Steven Page Trio," Reynolds wrote on the Instagram Story featuring all five of them. Lively was dressed stylishly and warmly in white top, black coat, and striped scarf:
