Why Joe Alwyn Didn’t Walk the 2023 Grammys Red Carpet With Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift surprised everyone with her big appearance on the 2023 Grammys red carpet, but fans were quickly wondering where her longtime BF and previous Grammy winner Joe Alwyn was.
The couple has always been super private, opting out of red carpets together. They have been seen at a few events together, mostly keeping to themselves and not really posing for photos otherwise.
So basically, they’re just being their normal selves and there’s a good chance Joe is rooting for his girl nearby. Joe hasn’t been to a Grammys yet, even opting out of music’s biggest night when he won as part of the writing team for Folklore, which won Album of the Year in 2021—although he was presented the award retroactively thanks to a Grammys loophole. He was also previously nominated for writing on Evermore.
True Swifties already know that he’s worked on Midnights, but that album is not eligible this year due to the Grammys’ cutoff date. So basically, there’s a good chance we might see him next year.
It’s already been a big night for Tay, who won for Best Music Video for “All Too Well” before she even made her big appearance. And there are also rumors that she’ll be making a big performance this same night. Whether that’s true or not, we’ll have to wait and see.
Sadly, we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer for these two to finally walk the red carpet together. At least we know it’ll be a big ~moment~ when they do!
