Why Justin Bieber, With Hailey Baldwin's Blessing, Has Given Up Music For Now

Besides busking in front of Buckingham Palace to impress Hailey Baldwin, Justin Bieber hasn't done much with music since hisPurposetour ended last September. That's not about to change any time soon, People reported this morning. The Biebs has no plans to return to music right now.

The Biebsisworking...just on himself. And his wife Baldwin is cool with it. “He’s happy and content,” a source toldPeople. “He is in love with Hailey. She encourages him to do whatever he wants to do and is encouraging him in this season of self-discovery.” The source added that right now, “Justin is searching for his purpose."Purposedid not settle the question-and actually, music may not be his life calling.

“He’s thinking, ‘Hey, maybe [my purpose] is not music. Maybe there are other things I should be doing,'" the source said.

If you encounter the Biebs in the wild, do not ask him when his next album is coming. “It actually bugs him when people ask when he’s going back to the studio or on tour,” the source told People. “He has worked for years, and the first time he takes a significant break, everyone’s all, ‘When’s he coming back?’ To Justin, those aren’t just questions-those are demands. For years, everyone has tried to take a piece of him. Just let him be.”

It's not the first report that Bieber is stepping back from music to work on himself this fall. Peoplereported at the end of October that Bieber wasn't interested in recording anything. He just seemed "okay," a source told the outlet. "However, he doesn’t seem ready to record new music yet and keeps saying that he just wants to hang out with Hailey."

At the time, Baldwin wasn't as keen on Bieber not working. "Hailey actually seems more ready to work than he does," the source said in the outlet's October 26th report. "They have had a few conflicts about it. Justin likes to just hang out, watch movies and chill. Hailey has a lot of energy and projects that she wants to do.”

Us Weekly's take on Bieber's new mindset was a little more dramatic. “Justin has become a recluse and a changed person," a source close to Bieber told the outlet in a report published October 11. "He has no interest in being a celebrity and an artist. He has withdrawn again, much like he did a couple years ago. He started recording music, but just stopped.”
