Why A Son Claims His Mother Being Sober Is ’20 Times Worse’ Than When She Was On Drugs

Ryan, 18, and his sister, Maddie, 15, say they wish their grandmother, Lisa, would take care of them and their three younger siblings because their mother, Jenny, scares them with blackout rages.

Ryan says they didn’t see Jenny’s rage much during the years their grandmother was raising them, because when Jenny was using drugs, she wasn’t really there, “So we didn’t experience her rage that much so it wasn’t that bad.”

“Now that my mom’s sober,” he continues, “she has left us kids without her mother to help her. Having a mother that does drugs is heartbreaking, but with her off drugs, it’s 20 times worse.”

“I just snap, and when it’s over, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, what did I just do? What just happened?’ because I honestly don’t remember,” claims Jenny, who says she never wanted to be a mother.
