Why Travis Kelce Is Missing Taylor Swift’s Last Eras Tour Shows
Taylor Swift kicked off the first of her three Eras Tour shows in Vancouver, Canada, on Friday night. Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was not in the audience. The NFL star was unable to attend any of her final concerts this weekend, despite their significance as she closes her massively successful tour. Her final show will be on December 8, the same day Kelce is expected to play with the Kansas City Chiefs against the Los Angeles Rams at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Last week, Swift was in Kansas City herself to catch Kelce’s game against the Raiders, just after reportedly spending Thanksgiving with Kelce and their families. According to People, all the Kelces traveled to Nashville, where Swift hosted the whole gang.
“Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” said the insider. “It’s the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.”
They added, “Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year. [Travis’s brother] Jason was there with his family and kids, too. It was very festive and special.”
Swift recently shared her feelings about her final Eras Tour performances, writing on Instagram, “Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far. See you 🔜, Vancouver. We can’t wait to give you all we’ve got for three more shows. 🥲”
The last Eras Tour concert Kelce caught was in Indiana on November 2.
“I wanted to see Tay one more time before this thing got closed up. I’ll tell you what, man, the American crowds, they did not disappoint,” Kelce told his brother Jason on their shared podcast New Heights. The football player has made an effort to catch Swift’s shows all over the world, traveling to Europe during the off-season for numerous shows. But, sometimes, schedules just don’t align.
