Wife Cries Remembering Tech CEO at Funeral After 200-Ft. Fall, as Son Says He ‘Couldn’t Have Asked for a Better Dad’
"We are experiencing the greatest pain we’ve ever known," tech CEO Justin Bingham's wife said through tears at his funeral
Tech CEO and dad of 4 Justin Bingham, who died in a 200-foot fall at Utah's Zion National Park, has been laid to rest.
Loved ones gathered at the Alpine North Stake Center in Utah on Monday, Oct. 14, to honor the CEO of software company Opiniion after he accidentally fell while canyoneering with three other friends on Oct. 5.
Through tears, Bingham's wife Lindsay thanked attendees from "the bottom of my heart" for the "outpouring of love" shown to her family.
"We are living our worst nightmare," she said. "Our hearts are shattered. We are experiencing the greatest pain we’ve ever known. I’m still trying to process it."
She went on to read a letter addressed to Justin, sharing that the 40-year-old dad loved his four kids dearly, and that his “presence is so big that it leaves a gaping hole in all of us.”
"There is no one on this earth like you, and I loved every part of you," she added.
Their eldest son shared a few words, as well, saying that he "couldn't have asked for a better dad" and that his father was "somebody everyone looked up to."
"He had a way of always making me feel super special and loved," Turin added. "I know I only got 16 years with him but those years I got were so incredibly special."
Meanwhile, Ashton, another one of their sons, said that his dad had a "love for life" and adventure.

"I love my dad," he shared. "I miss him very much. I thank him for the life he provided for me."
Ahead of his funeral, Bingham’s family also shared a tribute through an online obituary, remembering the late father as leaving behind a “legacy that can never be taken.”
In addition to being a “devoted and loyal husband” to his wife Lindsay, he was “a fiercely loyal, involved, dedicated and fun-loving” father to his four children, sons Turin, Ashton and Landon as well as daughter Ava.
“His family viewed him as Superman,” read the tribute. “His superpowers were most beautifully seen with his son Landon who has physical limitations including cerebral palsy and cortical vision impairment. Landon wasn’t going to let that stop him and neither was Justin.”
“Justin’s eternal optimism, deep love and relentless positivity blessed his family as he pushed through the impossible to provide every joy and opportunity, no matter the circumstances, for each of his kids,” the family shared. “He and Lindsay embraced the unexpected with unwavering faith and a determination to find beauty in life.”
