Wild bear in Magic Kingdom forces multiple ride closures at Disney World
Disney World guests were just treated to a new kind of Country Bear Jamboree.
EW can confirm that a wild bear was found inside the park Monday morning, prompting the closure of at least 10 attractions inside the Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square areas. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission tells EW that biologists with FWC's Bear Management Program, as well as FWC Law Enforcement officers, are "working on capturing and relocating the bear," who they say was likely moving through the park in search of food.

According to the My Disney Experience app, affected rides and experiences included the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the train ride that circles the entire park and features a stop on the west end of the park.

EW has reached out to a representative for the resort for more information.
The bear's presence marks the second time an uninvited critter has crashed the Magic Kingdom this year, after a squirrel took a spin on the park's classic Carousel of Progress attraction in July.
Elsewhere in Magic Kingdom, the park recently opened a new roller coaster based on the Tron film series. In an interview with EW tied to the attraction, imagineer Chris Beatty teased future additions while responding to a question about concept art for a villains-themed area shown at the 2022 D23 event.
"[The villains concept] got pretty good applause," he admits. "We took note of how loud the applause was when we announced that."
