Wildfire northeast of Fort St. John listed as ‘out of control’

The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) is battling a wildfire approximately 80 kilometres northeast of Fort St. John.

The wildfire is currently four hectares in size and was discovered near Beaver Creek Road at around 11:20 a.m. on April 23rd.

It is unknown exactly how the fire was started, but the BCWS suspects it to be caused by a human or human activity.

According to the BCWS, an out-of-control fire continues to spread and is not responsive to suppression efforts.
