New Winchcombe shop has "something for everyone"

A team of hospice volunteers have opened a new "budget-friendly" shop.

Longfield Community Hospice welcomed the first shoppers to its new charity shop in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, on 1 February.

Situated on North Street, the store allows customers to help the hospice provide support for those with life-limiting illnesses.

The shop team is now on the hunt for volunteers in the community to help run the venture with them.

Head of retail Laura Owen said there is "something for everyone", including clothes and electricals.

Ms Owen said the opening of the new store in Winchcombe is "a really exciting development" in the hospice's retail portfolio.

She said: "This is a completely new location and area for us, and we are really looking forward to welcoming locals to our shop."
