Wind advisory issued for the Sacramento region. Here’s where and when it starts
A wind advisory has been issued for portions of the Sacramento Valley to start the week, with the chance of downed trees and power outages.
The advisory will be in effect from 9 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday across the cities of Sacramento, Oroville, Marysville, Fairfield, Chico and Alder Springs. According to the National Weather Service, the advisory extends to Carquinez Strait and the Delta.
Outside items including holiday decorations should be secured and drivers should remain extra vigilant on the roads, the weather service stated.
Winds between 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph are expected.
