The Windsor Express have a new home for the playoffs.
The National Basketball League of Canada team won't be able to use their usual court at the WFCU Centre for the first two rounds of the post season because of the Memorial Cup, but CEO Dartis Willis said a temporary move to the Atlas Tube Centre in Lakeshore could help them win over new fans.
"If they don't come to you, you take it to them," he explained. "This 'take it to them' strategy works very well. If you look when we transpose ourselves downtown, I think you get to see that a lot of people who wouldn't normally be able to make it to the WFCU find themselves watching at Caesars."
The games will be played in the same space that usually hosts the Lakeshore Canadians and will have room for 1,600 seats.
