Windsor man wanted in connection with two convenience store robberies in the same week

Windsor man charged with break and enter of downtown business

Windsor police are searching for Donald Meloche in connection with two convenience store robberies in the same week.

On April 11, around noon, a man entered a store near the corner of Wyandotte Street West and Rankin Avenue, demanded cash from the clerk and allegedly threatened that he had a weapon, although the clerk was never shown it.

The suspect ran from the store with some money and rode away on a red mountain bike.

Two days later, around 12:15 p.m., the same suspect is believed to have gone behind the counter of the same store and stolen cash. The clerk allegedly tried to hold the door to the store closed, but the man forced his way in.

Police warn anyone who spots Meloche not to approach him. If anyone has information about where the 47-year-old might be they are asked to call 911.
