Windsor police brave rain during torch run for Special Olympics

Not even pouring rain could put out participants' fire during the Windsor leg of the Law Enforcement Run for Special Olympics.

"This is the best day of the year as far as I'm concerned," said Windsor Police Chief Al Frederick, dressed in a bright blue coat and grey jogging shorts. "It's just awesome."

Racers braved the pesky precipitation Thursday morning and ran two kilometres starting at the Justice Facility and ending at Charles Park Square.
