Windsor police credit alert neighbour after break and enter arrest

Windsor police are thanking an alert neighbour with raising the alarm that led to an arrest. The person noticed a suspicious man with a backpack and bike walked into their neighbour's yard.

When officers got there, they saw the man crawling into a basement window at the home on Homedale Boulevard between Edgar Street and Raymond Avenue, around noon on Tuesday.

Break in tools, a laptop and other electronics were found in the suspect's backpack. The bike he arrived on was also stolen, according to Windsor police.

The 38-year-old has been charged with break and enter, possession of break and enter tools and possession of stolen property.
