Windsor police seek stabbing suspect

Windsor man faces assault charges after beating woman while she waited for the bus

Windsor police are seeking a suspect following an afternoon stabbing in the parking lot of a Dougall Avenue hotel.

Police were called to a hotel in the 2900 block of Dougall about 3 p.m. Saturday and arrived to find a 20-year-old victim suffering from facial lacerations and non-life threatening stab wounds.

The victim was transported to hospital. 

Investigators do not believe this was a random attack.

The weapon used in the attack has not been recovered.

The suspect is described as a 20-30-year-old male with tanned skin. He is about six-feet tall and 180-200 pounds with a stocky build. He had a thin moustache and a goatee with black hair slicked back into a pony tail.

He was wearing dark-coloured jeans, a light-coloured jacket and a black baseball cap.
