Windsor man charged with break and enter of downtown business

Windsor police are searching for a man and woman after pepper spray was fired and a security guard assaulted during a scuffle in an apartment building lobby Sunday.

Officers were called to the building near the corner of Ouellette Avenue and Erie Street West about 10 p.m. after receiving calls a security officer had been attacked.

A man and woman were trying to get into the building while a "number of people" were attempting to block them, said Windsor police.

A security guard stepped in during the struggle and was allegedly assaulted. The male suspect also allegedly sprayed a "noxious substance."

Both suspects fled after suffering minor injuries.

Police are searching for a white man, between 40-50-years-old, with a shaved head and grey goatee. He was wearing a black windbreaker, white pants and white running shoes.

The female suspect is white, in her 30s, about 5-feet-two inches tall with long black hair, and a neck tattoo. She was wearing a beige shirt with blue jeans and sandals.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
