Police have located a witness and determined that he was an assault victim, in relation to a double stabbing investigation that occurred in downtown Calgary last week.
Officers responded to a call around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 that two men had been stabbed near the intersection near Eighth Avenue and Fifth Street S.W.
The victims were taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Shortly before the assault, the victims had left the Unicorn Pub, at 223 Eighth Ave. S.W., and were interacting with people and motorists nearby, police said in a news release.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and no further information can be provided at this time.
