Update: Victim killed in disturbance at Madera home identified. Woman arrested by police
A woman was taken into custody Friday night after she allegedly killed a man in Madera.
Officers responded to the 500 block of South D Street in Madera for a domestic disturbance and contacted a man and a woman.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries during the altercation, police said. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he died. He was identified by police Monday as 35-year-old Victor Amaro.
The woman, identified as 24-year-old Fabiola Frias Sanchez, was arrested and was booked in Madera County jail on suspicion of murder, police said.
A neighbor called police after hearing an argument and fight, police said.
Police added that it was an isolated incident and there was no danger or threat to the public.
The homicide remains under investigation.
