Vehicle crashes into power pole, closes Foster Thurston Drive in Saint John

A woman is in custody after a home invasion in uptown Saint John on Thursday, police say.

Just before 1 p.m., Saint John police were called to an apartment on Charlotte Street, where they were told a man and woman with a weapon had tried to force their way in.

The resident told police he was able to stop them, and they fled the scene.

Police later arrested a 35-year-old woman on a charge of breaking and entering. They are still looking for a man in connection with the incident.

The woman is being held in custody until her court appearance.
