A collision between two airboats in the Everglades near Ochopee injured 16 people. The cause of the crash is under investigation by authorities.

A woman was in critical condition in the hospital after being shot while driving on I-95 Monday evening, according to authorities.

At about 7 p.m., the woman was driving southbound on I-95 in the area of Northwest 135th Street in a black Lexus SUV when someone in another car shot at her, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition, said Alejandro Camacho, spokesperson for FHP.

The southbound lanes of I-95 were closed at Northwest 135th Street during the preliminary investigation but have since reopened.
