A 73-year-old woman has died in hospital after she was struck by a car Friday night.
Montreal police said she was hit by a small car at around 7:45 p.m. at the corner of Sherbrooke Street east and Bercy Street in the city's east end.
The woman was brought to hospital in critical condition, and later died from her injuries.
Witnesses told police the woman was crossing southbound at the intersection, when she was struck by a car travelling westbound on Sherbrooke.
The driver of the vehicle involved was a 65-year-old man.
Investigators are still trying to determine exactly what happened. They have already confirmed that alcohol was not a factor.
