Woman dies, man missing in boating accident
A woman has died and a man is missing after a boating accident near Creighton, Sask., Wednesday night.
The RCMP said a third person was able to make it to shore safely.
The three people were ejected from a boat while operating it on Wekash Lake just south-west of Creighton at about 8 p.m. CST were not wearing lifejackets, police said.
The man, 54, was driving the boat has not yet been found and the attempts to locate him are still ongoing. The woman, 46, died.
Police said alcohol as well as driver inexperience may have been factors in the accident.
Creighton is located about 400 kilometres north-east of Prince Albert near the Manitoba border.
