Woman dies in single vehicle collision

A 60-year-old woman died following a single-vehicle collision Nov. 5.

Members of the Queens District RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle collision on East Port L’Hebert Road at approximately 11:45 a.m., according to an RCMP news release.

Police, fire and EHS responders attended the scene where it was determined that a white station wagon left the road and came to rest in the ditch.

The woman was the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A collision deconstructionist attended and the investigation is still ongoing, according to the RCMP.

East Port L’Hebert Road was closed for several hours.
