Woman killed, 3 people injured in a Macon shooting, sheriff’s office says.
An investigation is underway after a woman was shot and killed Monday evening on Napier Avenue, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says.
Officers arrived on the scene after dispatchers got a call at 11:22 p.m. that there was a woman unresponsive. The victim was identified as 35-year-old Teresa McKenney. Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley pronounced her dead on the scene, according to Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Three other “persons of interest” were injured in the shooting and were receiving medical treatment, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. One male was in critical but stable condition and two other males were in stable condition.
“Although they received injuries, investigators are working to determine their involvement in the incident,” Sergeant Christopher Williams said in an email.
