Woman killed in crash north of Fort McMurray
A woman died on Tuesday when she lost control of her pickup truck on a slippery section of Highway 63 and crashed into a tanker truck.
The collision occurred around 10:15 a.m. at the Mildred Lake access road, about 36 kilometres north of Fort McMurray.
The male driver of the tanker truck was taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries was not known.
The tanker was carrying dangerous goods but RCMP said that nothing spilled.
However, the highway will stay closed until the tanker can safely be removed from the area.
