Woman's life takes a wild turn after last-minute flight change: 'That is pure fate'
A last-minute flight change can be a pain for any weary traveler — but for one woman, the inconvenience just so happened to land her in the seat next to her soulmate.
Model Emily DiDonato took to TikTok to share the incredible story of how she met her now-husband, Kyle Peterson, who she married in June 2018.
In January 2014, DiDonato’s agent called her on the way to a gig to inform her that her United Airlines flight to Denver, Co. had been changed due to inclement weather.

After boarding her new flight, DiDonato met Peterson, who just so happened to be her seatmate.
The two quickly hit it off, and later found out that not only did they share several mutual friends, they also lived a block away from each other in the Gramercy neighborhood of Manhattan, according to a New York Times wedding announcement.
The rest was history.
DiDonato’s followers fawned over the story, with many calling for it to be made into a screenplay.
“I’m not crying… you are crying! This is such a beautiful story,” wrote one user.
“That is pure fate!” said another.
“The luck,” commented a third. “You got married because of snow. that’s crazy.”
DiDonato has amassed over 289,000 followers on TikTok through her videos, which often center around her career in the modeling industry.
The 29-year-old has appeared on the cover of French Vogue and has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition. She has also appeared in Maybelline ads since 2009.
