Balaclava-clad thugs hurl woman to the ground for her bicycle in south London

A woman was seriously injured after being robbed of her bicycle by two men in the early hours in south west London.

The victim, 48, was approached by two suspects wearing balaclavas and assaulted on Harbut Road, Battersea.

They then stole her bike, the Metropolitan Police said.

Officers were called by London Ambulance Service just after 4am on Friday following reports of a robbery close to Clapham Junction station in Wandsworth.

A force spokesman said: “The victim sustained serious injuries including a broken shoulder.

“No arrests have been made.”
