Woman killed in a shooting at a Columbus apartment complex, police say

A woman died Wednesday after being shot at an apartment complex, according to the Columbus Police Department.

CPD said the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove Park Apartments. The woman was shot multiple times, according to police. She was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional for treatment, but died Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The victim was identified as 24-year-old Jabreia Burston.

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday afternoon, according to police, and no further information was provided.
