A woman who has suffered years of abuse from men who sent her violent and graphic messages has decided to turn the tables - by posting the messages on her Instagram page.

Professional violinist Mia Matsumiya has spent the past 10 years ignoring the remarks on social media - which range from crude to outright threatening.

But now the 35-year-old, from Los Angeles, California, has had enough of keeping quiet and has posted the messages online to show exactly what she has had to put up with.

Her ‘Perv Magnet’ Instagram page is flooded with screenshots from people she describes as “creeps, weirdos and fetishists.

One man asks how she is before saying that he “wonders where she lives”.

Another racially abused her before telling her that she should “burn in hell”, while others threatened to rape or kill her.

One person said she should abort her baby if she were to become pregnant.

Mia said that being a 4’9’’, Asian-American musical performer has been a “nightmare combination” for her.

She told the Huffington Post: “Pretty much most of my life now, I’ve encountered Asian fetishists, paedophiles, stalkers, racists, and who-knows-how-many unsolicited sexual comments.

“I became really angry. It’s absolutely unacceptable to treat anyone this way.

“People often deny the existence racism or sexism, but I’m pelted with it almost daily and here’s my proof.”

One person sent her a picture of a pair of scissors on his arm net to where Mia had signed an autograph the night before.

She wrote of the incident: A creepy guy with crazy eyes kept following me around asking me for my “autograph” and a kiss.

“I tried to hide, but security wasn’t good and he ended up cornering me, demanding I sign his forearm.

“I did it out of fear, and then the next day, he sent me this picture of him pretending to cut up my signature on his arm with a pair of scissors.”

Mia has now started to post similar messages from other females who have been sent vile messages on social media.

She told victims: “We’re all in this together an there’s power in numbers!”
