No arrests yet after woman shot in Anjou

Montreal police are investigating after a woman was shot in Anjou early Thursday morning.

Police were called to the scene at the corner of Roi-René and Wilfred Pelletier boulevards at around 3:30 a.m. and found the 37-year-old woman inside a home.

She was transported to hospital, but her life is not in danger, according to Montreal police Const. Abdullah Emran.

After receiving a description of a suspicious vehicle by a resident in the area, police pulled over a man in a car on the corner of Villeray Street and 15th Avenue.

The vehicle had at least one bullet hole in the door. The man was questioned but not arrested.

Police believe the woman was shot in the car before going inside the home.
