Woman struck by bus on Second Avenue in Whitehorse

A woman was taken to hospital Thursday after she was hit by a bus in downtown Whitehorse.

RCMP say the woman was struck at around 7 p.m. when an inter-city bus was pulling into the Whitehorse bus depot on Second Avenue.

The 58-year old woman was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

That section of Second Avenue was closed for about an hour as police investigated.

No charges have been laid, but police are talking to the bus driver, the bus company and witnesses to the incident.
