A woman has been taken to hospital after a house fire in Nottinghamshire.

The fire service said it was called to Berry Park Lea, in Mansfield, on Wednesday afternoon.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service added the blaze had spread to two neighbouring properties and a caravan.

The woman was taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation, with no other injures reported.

The fire is now under control, and firefighters will be on scene for the rest of the afternoon dampening down.

Berry Park Lea was closed while the fire was dealt with, and members of the public were asked to avoid the area.

Four appliances plus the aerial ladder platform were in attendance.
