Woman and two dogs confirmed dead after house fire

A woman and her two dogs have died in a house fire in Derby, it has been confirmed.

Emergency services were called to Merlin Green in Sinfin at about 11:10 BST on Friday.

Police have now said a 35-year-old woman was found dead along with her two pets.

A joint investigation with the fire service was under way, they added, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
