These are the world's most endangered species

These are the most endangered species in the world, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

Each species is categorised as ‘critically endangered’, meaning they face an extremely high risk of becoming extinct in the wild.

When population numbers reach critically low levels this causes a whole news set of problems, such as genetic diseases caused by a limited gene pool and high vulnerability to extinction caused by natural disasters if the population all lives in one place.

Without global action from humans, it is likely that these species will soon be wiped out.
