Singapore-based organisation RSG has unveiled the Filipino Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) roster they will be fielding for the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 8 on Wednesday (14 July), with local streamer and influencer Elyson "Wrecker" Caranza headlining the squad.

Wrecker is now the second Filipino MLBB streamer to turn pro for the upcoming eighth season of MPL PH, joining Raven "L3BRON" Alonzo who was previously signed by reigning M2 World Champions Bren Esports.

Aside from Wrecker, the core of RSG PH's ten-man roster is comprised of MPL PH veterans Kenneth “Kenji” Villa, EJ “Heath” Esperanza, Dexter "Exort" Martinez, Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog, and Arvie "Aqua" Calderon.

Kenji and Heath are noted veterans from Omega Esports, Exort shined last season as a support for Nexplay Esports, while gold laners Iy4knu and Aqua previously played for ONIC PH and Cignal Ultra, respectively.

Rookies Eman "EMANN" Sangco, John Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto, and Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo round out the squad.

RSG formally announced its expansion into the Philippines last Friday, with its new MPL PH team now being the third MLBB roster it is fielding alongside its existing Singaporean and Malaysian teams.

RSG PH is among the eight initial teams that will be competing in MPL PH as it transitions into a new franchise league system for its eighth season.

Aside from RSG PH, the Philippines' new franchise MLBB league includes Blacklist International, Bren Esports, ECHO, ONIC PH, Smart Omega, Nexplay EVOS, and TNC Pro Team.

MPL PH Season 8 will kick off in mid-August and will feature a total prize pool of US$150,000. The league will begin with its regular season from 13 August to 3 October, with the eight initial franchise teams competing to be among the six teams advancing to the playoffs in late October.

Aside from its MLBB squads, RSG is also fielding teams competing in PUBG Mobile, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Call of Duty Mobile, WarCraft III Reforged, Street Fighter V, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and ERacing.
